Ben is a Research Officer working in the Northern Office in York and is part of REID (Research, Evaluation and Information Department). Ben has worked on a range of projects including evaluations for the Royal Society of Chemistry, NESTA, Local Government Association, CWDC and the TDA.

Prior to working for NFER Ben was a Senior Officer working on Information Systems development and analysis of management information for the Children and Young People’s Directorate at Calderdale Council. Ben has also worked as a project manager for an NGO that specialised in sustainable agriculture practices in Ghana and Togo. Ben was trained as a research scientist and holds a PhD in Biology, he has worked for the University of Sussex, the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.
