Key Data on Teaching Languages at School in Europe - 2008 Edition
This second edition of Key Data on Teaching Languages at School in Europe, produced by the Eurydice Network, gives a detailed picture of language teaching in primary and secondary education in 31 European countries. It covers modern foreign languages in the curriculum, the range of different languages taught, teaching time, participation rates, assessment, and teachers. It also touches on classical languages and regional and minority languages in the curriculum, and support for immigrant students.

Levels of Autonomy and Responsibilities of Teachers in Europe
This Eurydice Network comparative study examines the curricular autonomy of schools and teachers in primary and lower secondary education in 30 European countries. It addresses issues such as the background to and impact of reforms that have occurred over the last 20 years, and the autonomy of teachers with regard to the curriculum, teaching methods and pupil assessment. It also considers the working conditions of teachers, and methods of teacher evaluation.
