New projects
Provision of mental health services for care leavers: transition to adult services
This research aims to examine the extent to which developments since the Children (Leaving Care) Act (2000) have improved outcomes for young people leaving care, particularly those with mental health issues.
Careers co-ordinators in schools
This research aims to inform the development of a new careers co-ordinator qualification.

The Centre for Excellence and Outcomes in Children and Young People's Services (C4EO) has published its first three scoping studies for its early years theme. NFER is one of the Centre's core partners.

New publication from Eurydice
Key Data on Teaching Languages at School in Europe - 2008 Edition
Published in November 2008 by the Eurydice Network, this report gives a picture of language teaching in 31 European countries. It covers modern foreign languages in the curriculum, teaching time, participation rates, assessment, and teachers. It also touches on classical languages and regional and minority languages in the curriculum, CLIL and support for immigrant students.
