" I joined NFER five years ago; previously I’d been working at Reuters ensuring the integrity of financial data. Before that I’d been a secondary school teacher, so education has always been an interest.

I like the variety of my work here; I have a wide range of tasks - people management, data handling issues, communicating with schools, writing reports and contributing to proposals. I also like the variety in the pace of work; some projects are long and detailed, others are very short and fast. I have to be flexible and that makes life interesting.

The NFER site is lovely. Although we’re on the outskirts of Slough we’re surrounded by greenery and beautiful gardens. "
