Kathryn is a Research Officer working the Department for Research in Assessment and Measurement. She is currently involved in the development of key stage 2 writing tests, research into the identification of young gifted and talented pupils, and an investigation looking into assessment provisions for pupils with Autism in the UK.
Prior experience and professional background
Prior to joining the NFER, Kathryn has been employed as an assistant policy officer for the National Autistic Society, a researcher at Cardiff University Department for Language and Communication, and a learning support assistant working with pupils with Aspergers syndrome in a mainstream secondary school.
Main research interests
Assessment, Literacy development and SEN inclusion.
