Monica is currently the Operational Manager for validated local practice for the Centre for Excellence and Outcomes for Children and Young people (C4EO) as well as a Senior Information Officer within the EMIE team at the NFER. She is also the Lead Staff Development Coordinator for the Research, Education and Information Department. Since joining EMIE in May 2003, Monica has been responsible for EMIE reports and the publishing programme and marketing activities. She has represented EMIE and the International Information Unit on Staff Council for six years and was the General Secretary on the Children’s Services Research Group General Committee for five years until 2009.

Prior experience and professional background

Following careers in both the arts and higher education, Monica moved to nferNelson in 1992, a publisher of tests and assessments for the education, health & social care and business markets where she was the Market Information and Planning Manager.

Integrated children’s services; validated local practice; local government, educational policy and practice; educational management, social cohesion.

Monica had two articles published as part of the Study of Dance Conference 4 Report in 1986 whilst at the University of Surrey; jointly published the Directory of Dance Courses in Higher Education with Prof. J. Adshead; and contributed two articles to The International Dictionary of Ballet and Classical Dance.
