Pippa is a Senior Research Officer at NFER's Northern Office. She leads and directs qualitative and mixed-methods research and evaluation projects.

Prior experience and professional background

Young people’s voice, arts, creativity and cultural education, science and STEM education, teaching workforce professional development, Every Child Matters and Children’s Services, literature reviews, qualitative research.

Main research interests

Pippa is particularly interested in young people’s voice on the curriculum and learning, arts and creativity, and science, and in the development of the teacher workforce. She is interested in current developments around Every Child Matters and in the new professional standards for teachers.

Other research interests

Pippa is keen to learn from international research and practice, and is a member of NFER’s international thematic interest group.
