Assessment research and development

Assessment has always been central to NFER and we are still at the cutting edge of research into assessment and assessment development. We are also the coordinating body for international studies of achievement – PIRLS, TIMSS and PISA – which increase our understanding of national education systems and help to improve the quality of education in schools and colleges.

Other work

NFER also undertakes a range of related activities for clients, including statistical work,  survey management, information services and dissemination services.
