Services for information professionals

The NFER offers a range of services and resources to support information professionals. The advanced search enables you to search for items by document type, research area, author, date or educational level. The search box at the top of each page allows you to search the whole website.

Supporting researchers and lecturers - Keep yourself and customers up-to-date with our free email update service, nferdirect and web-based current awareness service, ontheweb, listing new research and reports available on the internet.

The lis-childrens-services email discussion list, run by JISCmail but moderated by NFER library staff,  is available to information professional supporting teaching, learning, research and policy in areas covered by the Children Act 2004 and Children's Services agenda. You can subscribe to the list or view our useful resources page (from members' suggestions).

You can order reports published by NFER using our online bookshop or from our Publications Unit. The NFER LIbrary accepts inter-library loan requests via the British Library. Use our library catalogue to check our holdings.

The Current Educational Research in the United Kingdom database (CERUK) has lists over 3000 projects in education and related fields at PhD or equivalent level You can receive email alerts when  new items are added to the database. The Eurydice website has information on European education systems and the International Curriculum and Assessment Frameworks (INCA) website provides descriptions of government policy on education in a number of European and G10 countries.
