School report cards

School Report Cards: questions submitted by NFER, November 2009

In an announcement in October 2008, Ed Balls, Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, announced that school report cards would be introduced to give parents a new, simpler and more comprehensive way of understanding schools’ performance and achievements. The report cards would be based on the model in use in New York schools. NFER included two questions in Teacher Voice investigating teachers’ views on the proposed school report cards and specific measures to be included.
